About Me
Or My Sort-of Resume
Nowadays, I'm taking Digital Media Design classes at the Harvard Extension School. Depending on my impending job schedule, I might go after the full Master's degree. We'll see.
I graduated Reed College, in Portland, Oregon, USA. As of 2024, I have a Bachelor's degree in studio art. My final Cumulative GPA was 3.49. I'm also pretty happy to have been "Commended for Excellence in Scholarship" in 2021-2022, 2022-2023, and 2023-2024.
Before that, I graduated (summa cum laude) from Clear Lake High School in Houston, TX. I graduated with a 5.01 GPA, ranked 90 out of 562.

From September 2023 to May 2024, I worked as an Admission Communications Intern at Reed College, where I worked on a variety of things to inspire and inform prospective students about Reed. I created social media content for Instagram, including digital graphics, edited and captioned stories, and photos that I took at campus events. I also drafted emails to send to prospective students and updated the Admission webpages. This bolstered my experience in utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Canva, CMS software, Instagram, and digital cameras. It was fun learning to come up with content ideas individually and as a team.

In February 2023, the senior thesis puppet show version of the play "Antigona Furiosa" took place! I was on the puppet design team, specifically for the Antigona puppet (far left in the photo, in the long dress). For a few months, I helped design the puppet, communicated progress to the project managers, attended progress-check meetings, and contributed to the final puppet. Specifically for the final puppet, I created the paper mache shoulders, head, and hair; attached the shoulders to the base via paper mache; and painted the skin tone, facial features, and hair.

I was one of the seven students of a social practice art class in Fall 2022, where we conceptualized and enacted social practice events on campus. This included four events where we discussed grief in society and artwork, a tabling event where we asked Reed students to mark places of importance to them on a large map of Portland we drew, an event where Reed students could write letters to be matched with a Reed student pen pal (we ended up with 40-50 students getting involved), and an exhibition showcasing all this.
I was the primary manager on the social practice class' Instagram page, and I created the website for documenting the class.

My most recent (and largest) project is the Perseverance Penguin Project. Essentially, I sew and teach others to sew penguin plushies, plan and host events to sell those penguin plushies, and then donate or use the funds to help people experiencing homelessness. As of July 2022, we've raised $409 from penguin plushie sales. Check out the website for more:

From June 2022 to July 2023, I worked as a Social Media Evaluator for Telus International. Essentially, I looked at advertisements made for Facebook and determined if their content contained anything inappropriate or offensive for the majority of the Facebook community. It also helped me discover some pretty cool products I wouldn't have known about otherwise. You can learn more about all the technological help Telus International provides here:

From September 2021 to June 2022, I was the Social Media Coordinator for SHARE (Sexual Health, Advocacy and Relationship Education) at Reed College. I designed posters and social media posts; managed Instagram and YouTube; and recorded and edited informational YouTube videos. Although it was a mix of sharing the video and luck, the first YouTube video I edited and posted for them gained 9.7K views. You can see more about SHARE on their website here:

I did the work to apply for being one of the Inspiration4 astronauts. The video is pretty telling of my values and feelings, even if the website I created wasn't too fleshed out at the time. If you'd like to see that video, either check out the Video Specific page on this website or click the button saying "Inspiration4 Video."
Now, UltraUrania —the website I made at the time— has been moved to Etsy. If you'd like to check that out, feel free to. It's got one whole sale made by someone I don't know, so I call that a win.

I helped Percy Bodner create his ecommerce website SAMN.
I also helped Percy with creating ideas for his YouTube channel, including the popular videos about constellations and his most popular video about birthstones (at 18,000 views at the time of typing). Check out the website and channel here:

For two years of high school, I was part of Soundwaves, an elite jazz ensemble in Clear Lake High School. As a result, I'm used to performing by myself, in a small group, and in a large group. I can set up and break down sound equipment, typically find harmonies easily, and have enough understanding of music to write and understand it. As part of choir, I also ranked 14th place (top 4% in the state) in the Texas All-State Choir Contest; essentially I sang a bunch of difficult classical music over 4 rounds and got three spots away from being part of the state choir. It was a learning experience.

I also took 11 years of piano lessons, which probably contributed to the music theory understanding. Don't ask me to play anything by memory though.

I played basketball in school, YMCA, and club ball for 14 seasons between 5th and 9th grade. I co-coached 5-6th grade YMCA girls basketball for 7 seasons, from 10th to 12th grade (2015-2019).

I was a volunteer for SystemsGo from 2016 to 2019. My duties included support as a Rocket Launch Pad Technician & Rocket Recovery System Pyrotechnic Technician. Essentially, I loaded, armed, looked for, and ran away from rockets.

The only official paper I've written hasn't been published in a journal (I should work on that), but I did give a presentation on it in my senior year of high school. I wrote “Astronaut Solutions to Psychosocial Issues During Planetary Spaceflight”, a 5000-word research paper for my AP Capstone Research class (2019). As part of it, I interviewed former astronauts to identify mitigation strategies. Basically, exploring how astronauts think they would get along for longer duration space missions.

Back in 2018, I received a scholarship from Boeing to attend the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Summer Academy. Basically I got to explore engineering and the campus for a week. It made the decision between going to Reed and Embry-Riddle very close.
